Our Story

Ambinor is a Nordic lighting studio based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
We create sculptural objects that bring calm, presence, and permanence into modern spaces.

Each piece is designed to exist quietly, yet meaningfully, as part of everyday life.

Ambinor was founded from a simple belief, that the objects surrounding us shape how we feel.

In a world of temporary products and fast consumption, we wanted to create something different. Objects with intention. Objects made to last.

Our first piece, CALI, draws inspiration from Nordic architecture and the vertical clarity of Gothenburg’s skyline. Its form reflects both structure and softness, balancing precision with warmth.

Ambinor exists to create objects that outlive trends.

Every Ambinor piece is created through a slow and deliberate process.

Our products are designed, prototyped, and produced locally using advanced additive manufacturing. This allows us to achieve forms that would otherwise be impossible, while minimizing material waste.

Each object is produced in small batches and individually inspected. Subtle variations are part of the process, and part of what makes each piece unique.

We believe in precision, restraint, and honesty in how things are made.

We design for permanence.

Not only in durability, but in relevance. Our objects are meant to remain meaningful over time, not replaced by the next trend, but carried forward as part of the environment they inhabit.

We work with carefully selected materials, chosen for their longevity, recyclability, and tactile qualities.

Ambinor was founded and is led by designer Andreas Jansson, based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

With a background in design and product development, his work explores the relationship between form, light, and material. Each object is created with careful attention to how it interacts with its surroundings, how light moves across its surface, and how it contributes to the atmosphere of a space.

Ambinor was established as a way to bring this vision into its purest form, where every detail, from initial concept to final object, is developed with intention and precision.
